Welcome to Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. After their win in Jönköping, we’ve come for the last of the summer sun in Spain.  After a bidding war between four cities in Spain (Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Seville) finally it was decided that Barcelona would host the contest of NFAC 17.  The over whelming support of Barcelona, gaining over 50% of the votes, helped the Spanish delegation decide #WhoWillHost.

Thank you to @ValieJKT once again, for designing our NFAC 17 logo.  If you’d like to get involved in out design team for NFAC make sure you DM us.

So we are in Barecelona, found on the east coast of Spain, and the first time that NFAC contest has been held by the beach.  A temporary structure has been built on the beach of Sant Sebastia to accommodate the very first NFAC club, where the delegations are holding free promo concerts and meet and greets with fans.

This is set to be the biggest NFAC yet, with the most songs and delegations so far with a massive 55 set to take part in NFAC 17.  So with the proposed 30 members of the International Jury, it is set to be a massive show.  This is partially why Barcelona was chosen, they had the biggest venue for the show with the Palau Sant Jordi holding over 24,000 fans, in the heart of the Barcelona, with amazing views of the surrounding city and beaches.

fact-12Even the stage that has been designed especially for the concert is extremely impressive, we hope you agree.

Your host for NFAC 17 are Julia Varela and Daniel Diges; Julia who recently presented the Spanish Eurovision national final Green Room, and Daniel Diges who represented in Spain in Euroision 2010.

So it’s time for the start of the Semi Finals. (Click here for a look at the updated rules), once again the countries and their songs were split up into different pots depending on release year. Here are your Semi Finals.
