The calm before the storm, just the two national finals this week.  This time for Iceland.  Once again, they asked for their entries to be submitted in Icelandic.  Which is the language which we have based our votes in.  The final version on Saturday will have 5 out of 6 songs in the new English version, a somewhat controversial discussion in the NFACfamily.

Last year, Iceland sent Maria Olafs with song Unbroken.  You can see the performance on the Vienna stage here in the Icelandic version, made especially for NFAC viewers. Click here for the video.  Maria finished 15th in the semi final in Vienna, failing to qualify.

So onto the final for 2016.  Click here for the playlist. (and listed here are both the Icelandic version and English version)

  1. Greta Salome Stefansdottir – Raddirnar
  2. Erna & Hjörtur – Hugur Minn Er
  3. Karlotta – Óstöðvandi
  4. Elisabet – Á ný
  5. Þórdís & Guðmundur – Spring yfir heiminn
  6. Alda – Augnablik
